I have been working with Andre for the last six months as he has been training me for the New York Marathon in November. His training regime has been endurance-based exercise using heart rate zones.
I’ve spent most of my life believing I needed to have large amounts of carbohydrates in my diet to simply function and have energy. Through that belief and dependence, I experienced multiple troughs of fatigue during the day. This was not how I wanted to feel.
Andre is a fantastic coach. For my 1st 70.3 Ironman he assisted with every element. He built a smart training program for me and helped get my nutrition right. On race day, we got prepared, spent time on mindset and what to expect. This included race tactics and transition rehearsals.
I loved the structure of the programs. Andre was extremely flexible in his approach. I had many doubts, but Andre’s patience and guidance kept me going and motivated me to do as much as I could with whatever time and facilities I had available.
Working with Andre over the past couple of months has been amazing! He has given me the confidence to take the next step in my triathlon life and start my journey towards my first 70.3 Ironman.
I came to Andre looking for some coaching with relation to food and nutrition for the endurance athlete. He guided me through changing my diet to a LCHF approach which helped me tremendously.
Andre opened my eyes to the fact that having a healthy weight and lifestyle is totally driven by the food you eat, and that exercise is a natural complement.
When I first met Andre, I couldn’t run more than 400 metres. I worked with Andre for 12 weeks, and I cut 6 minutes off my 4km run, completed a 15km run, and as an added bonus lost 4 kg. It was effortless.
In preparation for my trek to the Sera Nevada Mountains of Spain, Andre’s coaching, techniques and support made a massive difference to my performance on the ride. Helping me lose 6kgs enabled me to be far more competitive on the hills, and the weight training was the icing on the cake.
