I didn’t think I had an issue, but was starting to have health issues, which I just put down to getting older. I spoke to my GP and he referred me for weight loss surgery, but there was a three month wait-list.

I’m a 55-year-old man, who had consistently failed to stick to my New Year’s resolutions! I decided that 2023 would be different. I wanted to lose weight and improve my cholesterol levels. I’d been working with a dietitian for several years. It was good nutrition, but there was no weight loss. Andre offers a no-nonsense approach. (Warning – if you’re a bit of a snowflake, then perhaps Andre might not be the best coach for you!)

When necessary, he was very flexible with rescheduling coaching sessions. I could always send him a message and get a considered response in a timely fashion. I did before and after blood work and saw improvements across all markers.

From 105kg to 90kg in 4 months, a 14% reduction in body weight. (I went traveling for a few weeks during my coaching with Andre, so my program was extended.) My body fat decreased from 20.1% to 16.9%.

Like most men in their early 50s I had slowly put on some extra kilos over the years. A busy job, business travel, restaurant meals and alcohol were all catching up with me.

I used the myth of a slowing metabolism as we age as an excuse. I saw that most of my peers at work were also carrying extra weight so I used that as an excuse too. I effectively normalised the fact I had a BMI approaching 30 when there was nothing normal about it.

A routine check up with my GP was a wake up. At 86kg, I was at least 10-12kg overweight and my fasting blood sugar results indicated that I was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. I did the maths – if I continued putting on a kilo a year I would reach retirement somewhere around 100kg and probably with diabetes. No thanks! I needed to do something – and fast.

So like most men in their early 50s I bought a new pair of high end running shoes and joined a gym. I spent the next 3 months punishing myself for an hour, six days a week but only lost 3 kilos – which I quickly put back on again (plus some more).

Next I did some reading about diets and decided to cut back on the size of my meals. As an engineer, I figured it was a simple energy equation – if you use more calories by exercising than you consume then surely I would start losing weight, right? Wrong. I perservered for months with that approach to no avail – the weight stayed stubbornly in place.

I needed help. So I reached out to Andre. Together we worked on the fundamentals of nutrition, exercise, hydration and sleep. By making better choices of what I ate, rather than how much I ate, the weight started falling off. I was losing about a kilo per week over the 12 weeks of one on one coaching. I was still exercising too, but doing it in a more targeted manner rather than smashing myself, over training and risking injury. And I never felt like I was starving – rather, I had a proper appetite again. Eating and sleeping better lifted my mood, improved my concentration levels at work and boosted my motivation to continue improving my nutrition, lifestyle and exercise habits.

My overall health has improved dramatically – all my blood parameters are back in the normal range and apparently I’ve stopped snoring! I have probably added at least a decade to my life – and it will be quality time. My partner loves the lighter (non snoring) version of me and I’m wearing clothes that haven’t fitted me for years. In fact I’ve had to buy new business suits and jeans!

I spent 3 months working with Andre, and I’ve lost almost 30kg. My background is a combination of elite army units and elite sport, but after injury my weight blew out to more than 140kg. As a result I gained further health impacts, not the least being those on my heart. On my own I had managed to get myself back to around 125kg. I had been seeing a dietician for about 6 months, and managed to shed a little more weight but nothing to get excited about. I had another health scare, so I was now desperate to shift the weight.


I knew about Andre’s work, as I’d had a passing interest over the years. I’ve known him since our army days in the 1980s. I thought, I’ve tried all the ‘normal’ ideas, none of them worked- why not try something drastic.


The first thing Andre told me was to chuck all the books out- the western diet books that is….and that’s the hardest part of this exercise. Adjusting the mind to accept that what has been taught as “healthy’ food and diet, simply put….isn’t.


Once I’d made the mental leap, the rest was easy. Hold myself accountable for what enters my mouth, hold myself accountable for what I input into the systems he provided, and to be ruthlessly true to the program. There is an element of mental discipline, but I found that once I got into the groove- it becomes second nature.


There isn’t any real secret to Andre’s methods or what he teaches. It’s plainly obvious once you begin.
But- here’s the kicker. You have to do what he says. Don’t wander off thinking he’s crazy. Step up, buy in, and you’ll win.

I found Andre on LinkedIn. I was drawn to his style of being very upfront.
I was always an active person, I played numerous sports growing up. Further, my work and home life balance was out of whack. No matter how hard I tried to reign this in I couldn’t make any real progress. Of course Covid-19 compounded to me ballooning to close to 250 lbs.

I couldn’t seem to make any positive gains in strengths or losses in weight. Enter Andre.

I elected to go with the 12 week program. I was so ready to get started! We of course focused first on diet. I found this to be extremely compelling – the high quality fat mixed with low carb
intake approach. I logged all my meals and quickly learned how to improve my eating. Though I work
from home, I made at least 6 trips out of town during the 12 weeks, some of which lasted a whole week.

Andre was very focused on these trips and gave me the confidence to navigate the stresses of air travel
while maintaining the diet.

I also dramatically reduced my alcohol intake. Dramatically. Eating quality food really revealed how
generally crappy alcohol makes me feel. Andre was giving me tools via diet to curb cravings. A real win-
win.

From a physical fitness standpoint, I started walking, a lot. I really do relish this time to stretch my legs
and spend some quality time with our family dog. Towards the end of the program I began doing a bit of
strength training with the primal movements: squats, push ups and planks.

After getting my diet under control and daily walking, we started to focus on sleep. This is when I started
to learn more about breathing through my nose and the related benefits. I was asthmatic as a child and felt that I could have saved my folks a lot of time and energy as a kid if I had only learned some appropriate breathing techniques that Andre turned me on to.. Around this time I started to use mouth tape to keep my mouth gently closed throughout the night.

This dramatically improved my sleep and subsequent stress levels.

My weekly routine includes about 6-8 hours cycling road, gravel and MTB; but after a very enjoyable 2020 Christmas-New Year I weighed in at 86kg. For over 7 months I struggled to get my weight back to “my normal” no matter the training duration and intensity.

Simultaneously, I was also looking for a more sustainable and healthier lifestyle. Andre and I had worked together many years ago, and so after seeing a LinkedIn post I thought I’d reach out to say hello.
I commenced a 12-week program that introduced me to a sustainable approach to eating that reduced my weight and introduced me to low intensity training (MAF Training) that increased my energy levels.

While my main goal was to establish a sustainable lifestyle, the first thing I noticed was immediate weight loss. I learnt that eating the right foods was the key to weight loss and energy levels. No longer did I feel
the need for morning tea including muffins etc., nor the afternoon snacks hiding in the pantry. Preparing wholesome and delicious meals has had a real social benefit too, it created an opportunity to try new and exciting dishes
previously deemed too much trouble to prepare. There are rarely leftovers and waist lines are still reducing.

Over time I introduced strength training; and I am now feeling the benefits in overall posture and strength on the bike. Climbing isn’t easy but is easier now there is less weight, and I have more strength and
energy. Now I can comfortably ride over 100km with minimal/no food. The performance gains on the bike are very real and sustainable.

In the short months since working with Andre I have maintained my sustainable lifestyle, improved my strength each month, while keeping the weight in control (over 12% reduction). I feel great and now
more confident than ever that I have reached a sustainable and realistic lifestyle that can accommodate any of life’s ups and downs, including craft beer.

I started to work with Andre after attending Andre’s free webinars and after speaking with Andre multiple times and explaining my issues (not only weight).
When we started to work on my weight Andre provided instructions and also guided me on how to improve my overall lifestyle and this included
mental and physical aspects of my lifestyle.

At the beginning it was not easy for me to adjust and make changes and this is where Andre has helped me the most to actually make me change my mental approach to things and then results
started to come, first my weight started to go down without me starving and then the most amazing thing happened, my sleep, I started to sleep much better and feel my better.

After 6 weeks working with Andre, I was back running and Andre explained to me and guided me on how to actually run and enjoy it.
Before working with Andre I was running for 2+ years but I was never able to run more than 6 miles and I was suffering and suddenly I started to run much longer distances and started to enjoy it and
it came to the point where I signed to a Half Marathon and did my first Half Marathon (completed it in 2 hours and 5 minutes) and this happened just 7 weeks after I resumed my running.

I was able to completely change my lifestyle, I eat normal food (no more junk, no more sugar), I lost 17 kilograms without starving (when I started I was 101 KG and now I am 84 KG – 83 KG and I have no problems to maintain my weight) , I sleep much better, I run longer and overall feel much better.

I would like to recommend Andre to anyone who wants to change their lifestyle and start living healthier and happier live.

I engaged Andre for an 8-week program in order to take my fitness to what I considered to be the next level.  I had heard a lot about him and was interested in his philosophy on health and fitness which was different to the mainstream views. I was looking for a fresh perspective and after having a chat with Andre I knew he would be a great fit for me and what I was trying to achieve.  He was very knowledgeable and straightforward during our first chat.

Over the last 5 years I had slowly increased my weight a couple of kilos every year. I was in my ‘fat man suits’ for work and was struggling to drop the weight. I was scrambling trying different programs, intermittent fasting, cleaner eating etc and training 4-5 days per week in CrossFit but not really paying enough attention to what really counts to lose the weight – ‘my diet’!

I listened to a Joe Rogan podcast with Mark Sisson and then googled coaches of Mark Sisson methodology and found Andre Obradovic. Andre is in the Top 7 coaches of recommended by the Primal Health Coaching Institute founded by Mark Sisson methodology in the world and after discussing the program with Andre I signed up straight away.

Over the last 12 weeks I dropped 10.6kg, but more importantly gained the knowledge and understanding from Andre about why I struggled to lose weight previously and now how, what, when to eat going forward.
My wife joined in with me during the last 12 weeks losing 9kg herself. This approach is a life long change and isn’t difficult.

Twelve weeks ago if you asked me about my diet I would have said we were extremely healthy, we ate clean 90% of the time, always cooked meals at home, rarely eating out, making meals from scratch, avoiding preservatives etc etc.

I worked with Andre for 3 months initially prior to travelling to a Swim Camp in Thailand in 2019. I wanted to lose a few stubborn pounds that I thought I could lose simply by exercising more. After witnessing amazing results of a friend, I contacted Andre to help me with how best I can prepare myself to run well into my senior years.  I ran my first Marathon at age 60 and was fortunate enough to tackle that distance for four consecutive years.  Then the pandemic arrived!  

 I was excited and happy after our initial meeting where we discussed building an aerobic base, low heart rate running using the Maximum Aerobic Function (MAF) method, the importance of rest and recovery, injury prevention and switching from using sugars to using fats for fuel.  I didn’t realise how many carbohydrates I was eating. I now understand these carbohydrates were essentially just sugar. I soon noticed the difference of feeling good and strong at the end of a long run and this was very much welcomed.

2021 saw most events I was signed up for cancelled.  However, the Great Ocean Road Running Festival went ahead.  I ran a good race in the 14km event following Andre’s tailored program.

Andre provided great support during my six-month journey with him via our fortnightly meetings, providing an abundance of resources, podcasts and recipes to name a few.  You name it, he had it!

Low heart rate running takes time and lots of patience to master.  While I have made improvement, I know this can further improve and I continue to incorporate two MAF runs per week in my training.

I started working with Andre almost six months ago via recommendation from a family member, and since then I have lost just a bit over 20kg. Before the program, my understanding of nutrition, sleep, exercise and overall health was skewed, which led to an unbalanced lifestyle and subsequent weight issues.

Andre dedicated the first few weeks of the program to re-education and guidance, taking each issue on the table one step at a time so that there was a gradual – but more successful – approach to positive change. I’ve known Andre for many years, having worked with him professionally in our respective past corporate careers and know him to be someone that was always extremely dedicated in delivering value to his clients.

Over many years I had been trying to lose weight wading through all the ‘expert advice’ and myriad of diets, to no avail. I had recently retired and wanted to be able to enjoy my golden years feeling healthier – and hopefully living to a ripe old age. After following Andre’s LinkedIn articles and comments about weight loss and health, I signed up to one of his free introductory webinars.

This would have to be one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I was uncomfortable, fatigued and felt generally unwell and decided it was time to make an investment in my health. I signed up for 3 months of health coaching with Andre and am so glad I did.

As a 52-year-old woman I had previously found it extremely difficult to shift excess weight, especially around my middle. During the initial weeks my weight loss was slow, but Andre guided me through these difficult weeks to the point where I wasn’t hungry or craving carbohydrates, sugar, coffee or wine. The weight then just started to steadily drop and continues to.

I am sleeping well without apnoea and get up at dawn naturally most mornings as my body is more in tune with circadian rhythms, excited to go out and paddleboard. I have stopped my antidepressant medication and have lost 6kgs. My clothes are comfortably fitting again, and I feel great!

Andre’s program is not a diet but rather a lifestyle which is easy to continue. Once upon a time I worked in an environment required a high level of athletic performance but after a decade working in the corporate environment the kilos had piled on. After a number of attempts to get fit again, many failures and some significant injuries I engaged Andre’s services.

If I had to describe working with Andre in two words, very simply it would be “life changing”. I’ve tried short term fixes, Personal Trainers and Chinese herbal “diets” – all ironically more expensive than Andres program which not only works but is sustainable and very simple! 

 If you’d said for the investment I’d be where I am in 12 weeks I’d of jumped at it or thought not possible. I lost 11kgs and have never felt healthier. Everyone has something else they can do with the money, but the reality was for the cost an airline ticket, a few dinners out etc, my life has been transformed. My body, my mind, my happiness and future wellbeing have significantly improved.

  Andre’s coaching is a combination of education, motivation, and most of all accountability to start with sustainable changes and challenge your traditional ways. Over the last 5 years I really took my eye off the ball regarding my health. A combination of overeating, drinking too much and not doing much exercise had me in a bad way. On the 1st of April 2021 I had blood work done that I had been avoiding and the results were not good. The results showed I was Type II diabetic with elevated triglycerides and few other markers out of whack. I was also weighing in at the heaviest I have ever been. I was prescribed Metformin to “manage my diabetes” and given an unhelpful lecture by my GP. No mention of nutrition…

I did some research and through Noakes Foundation I found a GP that specialised in managing Type II diabetes and I came across Andre who agreed to help me out ultimately to improve my business performance.

We started working together in April 2021 over a 12-week period. At the end of our time together I had lost 17kg. More importantly my blood results as at the end of July 2021 revealed a reduced HBA1C from 6.5 to 5.9 which meant I was in remission as a Type II diabetic. And this was achieved by following the nutritional advice provided by Andre and without taking any drugs. In fact, under the supervision of my doctor, I came off both the cholesterol and triglyceride lowering medication I had been taking for over 10 years and my lipid results improved! I’m not quite there yet, I still need to drop that HBA1C result to below 5.6 to be in the “normal” range. So, I have a way to go.

What Andre did for me was help me adjust my mindset and educated me about what “healthy eating” meant as well as guided me specifically on nutrition and supplements. Over the 12 weeks he asked me questions that made me think deeply about my health.  At the same time, he was genuinely sympathetic and understanding. He checked in with me often and helped me monitor and adjust things along the way.

Over the last 15 years I have felt increasingly compromised by my weight, bought on by my poor eating and drinking habits. I also suffered poor sleeping habits, poor gut health and dehydration.

I’ve just entered my second round with Andre. First round saw a 14kg achievement in 12 weeks and removed Insulin resistance from my recent blood test.

It’s not as difficult as one might think and while I’ve maintained my original goal, I haven’t managed to improve on it without Andre’s help. Now I am back in the program I have re-established ‘the motivation to do it all again, with the added benefit of strength and fitness in our goals. I tried to understand what Andre does and why I couldn’t do it myself. Andre is an inspiring role model and coach. I first came across Andre due to him being referred to by Mark Sisson and Brad Kearns in their 2019 book “Keto For Life”. As I am also located in Australia I reached out Andre – and have just concluded a three month nutrition and health coaching program with him.

I saw Andre’s programme advertised through a military veterans webpage and after some of my own research on Andre, I made contact with him for my obligation-free first consultation. Andre’s enthusiasm, knowledge and professional, no-nonsense approach struck a chord with me and I signed up to his 12 week programme.

My wife attended by first session with Andre upon Andre’s advice and I am glad that she did. My wife immediately saw the logic and benefits Andre was talking about and we both embraced the programme.

I continued to meet with Andre on a weekly basis – firstly to concentrate on diet, food intake and nutrition. Next we moved on to fitness and preparation for my next marathon. Sharing this with my wife, we gained a thorough understanding of how simple it was to change bad habits to good habits in so far as what we eat and when we eat. The biggest gain in knowledge was understanding the relationship with carbs and how we can significantly reduce carbs (and body fat) yet still have yummy hearty meals that you look forward to eating!

My wife and I changed our life style and our teenage children had no choice but to come along on the journey with us. After a few grumbles from the boys and some gentle education for my daughter, the whole family understands the health benefits of a low carb diet.

The added bonus has really been for our 16 year old son who has diabetes type one. The reduction in carbs in his daily meals has meant a significant reduction in the number of insulin injections per day and the volume of insulin in those injections!!

After three months our low carb, healthy food diet has become a way of life. The results speak for themselves:

  • I lost 12 kgs and 10cm around the waist – and still losing
  • my wife lost 15 kgs
  • my wife and I have significantly improved our running
  • my wife’s ‘leaky gut’ has all but cleared up
  • Bowel movements for both of us have significantly improved
  • my son’s daily blood glucose levels are much more stable meaning less mood swings, less injections and lower volumes of (synthetic) insulin per injection

Working with Andre was stress free and easy – we met weekly through video conferencing at a time that was convenient to me. Knowing that I was meeting Andre weekly, assisted me to stay motivated and on-course with my dietary habits.

I recently worked with Andre to assist me with achieving some significant personal goals, while in the first year of building a new business.  My goals included improving the length and quality of my sleep, getting routine exercise, and improving my diet and hydration.

Andre is an exceptional coach.  He is very easy-going, has a wealth of relevant knowledge, and was skilled at helping me to uncover important insights to help me to take action and to focus on my goals.  All interactions I had with Andre were very positive – he is clever at finding ways to help you stay on task, and has a large range of solutions to help you, whatever the issue.  I particularly liked Andre’s “check-in texts” which he would send from time to time, just when I needed an extra boost of motivation.  It was due to his impressive coaching skill that I resolved a major issue with ongoing headaches, started a more effective exercise routine, and helped me to get much better quality sleep.

I came to Andre following for coaching after years of following what I know understand is and approach to nutrition called “conventional stupidity. This led me to being an overweight and lethargic 46 year old. Once I cracked the 100kg mark and 9.1 cholesterol level I knew I had to make some changes. Andre challenged my accepted and untested knowledge of nutrition. The education provided during the coaching program was contradictory to everything I had been taught in my life.

However, I undertook my own research and implemented the recommendations into my life. I have not looked back. After 12 weeks I have lost 12kg, 10cm abdominal girth and reduced cholesterol levels from 9.1 to 6.2, and all of this eating more fat – but healthy fat and making conscious decisions to eat real, rather than heavily processed, foods.

I contacted Andre because a friend at work was raving about how much he’d helped her lose a few stubborn kilos. I had been quite overweight for a while – the kilos had crept up and I was blaming middle age, the stresses of life and work, and no amount of beating myself at the gym was helping. I was beginning to give up, but I didn’t want to because I have always been active – I love hiking and even running. I didn’t want to be the chubby kid trailing at the back all the time, out of breath.

So I started with Andre. His nutritional advice made sense. I tracked what I ate and soon got into a pattern where I was eating completely unprocessed food, cutting out all added sugars and suddenly I realised I wasn’t hungry all the time. Plus dropping kilos! I was fueling my body well and I felt great. I no longer felt the late afternoon slump, where I would eat sugar to boost my energy and almost always made poor choices.

The weekly sessions with Andre were educative; we covered a range of topics that helped me understand how important sleep was, how to exercise sensibly without raising my stress levels and how to carve out the time to focus on me and my health. I can’t over-emphasise how significant it has been to me to learn how to focus on getting enough high quality sleep – literally life-changing.

Andre was continually understanding and supportive, and helped me to think for myself and trust that I can make the right choices. I was most afraid that I would not be able to maintain my health journey and the weight that I have lost without Andre, but he help me ‘wean’ myself off him, moving to fortnightly and then monthly sessions.

Now I know that he’s there if I need him at the end of the phone, text or whatever. I’m off hiking this weekend – stronger knees, moving more easily and feeling great. I have lost over 20 kg and I owe it to Andre’s calm and sensible belief in me.

I came from a high level (elite amateur) cycling background, but with 2 new babies arriving within 11 months of each other my training was significantly reduced and eating habits slipped into whatever was quick and easy.
I got used to waking up every morning feeling sore and fatigued, then having that fatigue sit with me all day. I assumed it was just due to the tiredness that comes with being a new parent.

I finally woke up one morning with a sense that it was my diet that was causing the problems. I started working with Andre in February 2020 after hearing him on a Podcast. Straight away many of the topics Andre discussed resonated with me. During our first meeting he challenged many of my traditional beliefs about diet and exercise. I was an avid runner and was looking for overall improvement in my results which had stagnated over the past year or so. After we discussed my immediate goals Andre took a holistic approach, diet, training, lifestyle, and family. We agreed to tackle my diet first, although I was not what you would consider overweight, I was carrying excess fat and I was seriously addicted to Carbs like a lot of runners are! Andre mapped out an 8-week program for me to shed 5 kilos, I must say it was a resounding success, after 6 weeks I had reached my goal. Since I started the program and applying its principles, I have lost close to 9kgs and 8% body fat. I weigh less now than I did when I was in my 20’s.

The second part of my journey has been around the way I approach my running, I was in a rut, training hard, probably too hard, and not getting the results I thought I should have. Again, Andre challenged my thinking on training and process. Over the last 2 months Andre has been working with me to adapt to MAF training. Being an older runner, it has been a welcome transition. While it has taken the same dedication the stress on my body is much less. I have seen continued improvement over the last few weeks. My pace at my MAF heartrate continues to fall. I am excited for what this will deliver over the longer term. My goal is to continue to run well into 60’s and 70’s.

I would highly recommend Andre as coach, he will tell you straight, no sugar coating. He will challenge your beliefs and work with you to deliver results.

I was turning 40 and I wanted to do something big to celebrate! So I asked Andre to whip me into shape for a half ironman distance triathlon in New Zealand on my actual birthday. Wow what a way to celebrate! (2km swim, 90km bike, 21km run).

Andre helped get me to the finish line in only 6 months! We worked through the Today’s Plan training platform and also communicated via text and phone calls. He tailored the program to suit my other priorities at home and at work. The program was comprehensive and varied and I started training in ways I hadn’t previously – I took up strength work at the gym, running on the treadmill, lots of bike trainer, swimming drills, using my heart rate to measure fitness and then alot of brick work leading up to the event.

In early October I was diagnosed with fatty liver and high blood pressure. Under doctor’s directions was I placed on medication but I was determined to get off the tablets. I have been working with Andre for just over a year before entering and completing the Geelong 70.3 ironman, and Andre has helped me on so many levels that I have hugely appreciative of.  As like most triathletes we tend to be hard charging type A personalities where it’s all, or nothing. The biggest improvement to myself working with Andre has been his ability to reason with me that there is a time and place for an all or nothing approach but sometimes that is not the case.  

I was a person that would read and follow people on the internet about the best and latest dietary improvements that could be made to improve your triathlon time.  I would follow this with regards to Ketogenic diets, carnivore diets, fasting and eating one meal a day. This left me feeling good with day to day living if I had to do no training, but working with Andre got me to realise and get out of my own head and step back and really think about what I was doing and was this beneficial to my training and race preparation.  Now after working with Andre I don’t class my eating habits as anything other than fuelling for the work required in my training schedule. I have seen great improvements with this approach in both my training and my day to day life.  

I love the fact that Andre listens to your life stresses and modifies your training to that and understands that this is meant to be a hobby and enjoyable.  Andre regularly makes contact to see how you’re feeling, sleeping and how your stress levels are going.  

This all help greatly with a very enjoyable and stress free 70.3 race in Geelong.  I had the privilege to race at the same race as Andre in Geelong and that was hugely beneficial in how he approached the race both mentally and physically.  I normally worry greatly about the swim but in Geelong Andre and I met up and did a swim the morning before which greatly improved and reduced my race day nerves.

The catalyst for my decision to work with Andre was my (rapidly) declining performance on the hockey field.  I am certainly no superstar but I was now finding myself extremely frustrated with my inability to play like I knew I could. I set a measurable goal of making the Australian over 50 team to compete in the Masters World Cup in 2020. This is a team I had made the reserve list for previously but had not been selected at all in 2018.

I started working with Andre after many years of trying to reduce weight myself.  I had used the advice from various books and programs but had not achieved or maintained the results I wanted.  I decided to get a coach to help – probably should have been an obvious decision considering a hockey coach myself and regularly endorse the benefit of coaching to improve performance.

Andre was clear and concise with his advice and always extremely positive. We over-achieved my weight loss goals and was able to start some physical training to complement my preparation for the Australian Masters Hockey Championships.  I started at 86.4kg in July and travelled to Perth in late September at 76kg.  Suffice to say, my performance was enough to gain selection back into the squad.  While there is still work to be done to make the team I am on track and armed with the knowledge to achieve it.

The only disappointing aspect of the experience was the simplicity of the advice and my frustration with how long I had procrastinated before speaking with Andre.  The unexpected up-side was my wife’s involvement and subsequent loss of weight too – and she was less disciplined than me!  We are bth off to do more clothes shopping so make sure you budget for that.

In mid April weighing just under 150kg, I had high blood pressure and was on several medications. My brother introduced me to Andre who agreed to help me. I started his program on 27 July and in 3 months I dropped to 112kg (down from 141kg) and lost 30cm from my waist.

I decided to join Andre’s program following a post Christmas splurge on alcohol and sugar. My reasoning was that I could not put a price on my health and my physique. I had been training and dieting for many years. I own a gym and have a formal qualification in fitness, but no matter what I did I could not get my weight below 72kgs.

Andre said that within 3 months, my weight would drop from 77kgs to 68kgs. I would get to my 2018 goal of an 83cm waist measurement. This was on 1st February and would happen by 11th April. Now here we are on March 17th. My weight is down to a mind-blowing 67.6kgs and my waist a mere 79cms. All in around 6 weeks.

As a Health Coach, I was always helping my clients get results. They challenged me to do the Namaqua Quest (3 day cycling event), which was more than 5 times the elevation of my best social cycle, just for day one!

Due to having 2 very bad health crashes, I was scared to push my body. Andre said I was only performing to 40% of my ability and suffering from adrenal fatigue. More training is not always better. Andre has a great understanding of the human body and quickly gets

With a family history of diabetes and some personal experience with cancer I figured it was time to try something else. I was one of the typical blokes who played lots of sport years ago but continued to eat and drink anything and ignored the additional kilo or 2 each year since. I eventually contacted Andre after hovering close to my personal worst at 125kg. To be honest likely more. I was skeptical and almost blasé when he explained what was possible. Well we blew that away pretty quickly with results. Long story short 21kgs in 4 months.

I was not an exemplary participant, but importantly learnt the principles of eating properly, and with some guidance, learnt to deal with social, work and Christmas functions with not too much impact. This is an important point because I didn’t rely on a strict diet plan ( I have been disciplined on the whole ) and planned for how to stay on track.

Aside from picking up the fundamentals, the value of the coaching for me was answering questions like: Can I eat X? What’s the best option? What do I do for gut health? Is this normal? How do I ramp this up? I have 3 days at a work offsite – what’s the best approach?

Also, feedback like “it’s working, just keep doing what you’re doing” rather than being concerned with sticking to a timetable was great.

I appreciated the communication approach too – Andre quickly adapted to my preferred approach of getting straight to the point so each interaction was valuable.

I had always tried to keep active however the old saying of you will never out train a bad diet was certainly proven to me by Andre. I achieved good results balancing a busy job with regular travel.

I have been working with Andre for the last six months as he has been training me for the New York Marathon in November. His training regime has been endurance-based exercise using heart rate zones.

I am a complex client as I have several medical and psychological conditions; namely, Type 1 Diabetes, Epilepsy, High Blood pressure, Complex and Severe PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Andre’s guidance and training system has been very effective and my running has improved significantly. Following on from this, I have also sought counsel from Andre with regard to nutrition. The results have been outstanding and it has been easy! In the last 7 weeks I have lost 12 kilograms.

My GP has reduced my blood pressure medication by half, my general mood has stabilised and my reliance on insulin has dropped significantly. I am only using approximately 20% of the insulin compared to my daily usage before starting the Banting Diet. I am not hungry and I do not crave sugar or bread. Andre has helped me considerably and I am very grateful for his support and knowledge. He is very caring, compassionate and quickly establishes a rapport with his clients which I think is a rare but essential quality.
