In preparation for my trek to the Sera Nevada Mountains of Spain, Andre’s coaching, techniques and support made a massive difference to my performance on the ride. Helping me lose 6kgs enabled me to be far more competitive on the hills, and the weight training was the icing on the cake.
In 2016, I did my first 70.3 in Vietnam, Andre helped me then. I recently started training again with Andre to help me prepare for the Sunshine Coast 70.3.
Andre is not a coach who just hands you a workout routine with Swim-Bike-Run workouts. He does not make you feel guilty or less of an athlete if you miss a workout session or your body is too exhausted to accomplish a long ride. Andre has a well rounded approach to his clients.

After meeting Andre and working with him for a very short space of time, I learnt that I had so much wrong. I was using the old adage of “no pain no gain” and fuelling the body with carbs on the basis that we needed to fuel the body for endurance.
I contacted Andre to coach me for the 2017 Melbourne Marathon. The running plan he built for me was customised to fit around my schedule.
Andre is an exceptional coach who helped me reach my goals. From my teens to my early 40s I lived a very active lifestyle. Later, I became active in endurance events including three-day adventure races to 24-hour solo mountain bike events.
1 wanted to make some permanent positive changes in regards to my health I was always starving and thinking about food all day. I wanted to be in the best shape I could be.
With a family history of diabetes and some personal experience with cancer I figured it was time to try something else. I was one of the typical blokes who played lots of sport years ago but continued to eat and drink anything and ignored the additional kilo or 2 each year since.
I worked with Andre for a 3 month period as I had seen the great results that a work colleague had achieved. I had always tried to keep active however the old saying of you will never out train a bad diet was certainly proven to me by Andre.
I have been working with Andre for the last six months as he has been training me for the New York Marathon in November. His training regime has been endurance-based exercise using heart rate zones.
For the last 6 weeks, I have been working with Andre to improve my nutrition for life. My focus has been racing and today, I finished my first 70.3 Half Ironman with my nutrition totally in check!
When you finally decide enough is enough, Andre is the man to call. He helped me alter my approach to food, alcohol and exercise so that I make better decisions and improve my health.
