Nutritional Therapy with Susan Obradovic, NTP

As a Certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and a Certified Gluten Practioner I dig deep to investigate the underlying reasons for health dysfunctions. Together we will build strategies and actions to optimize your nutrition so that your health and your life are optimized.

The Initial consult is the first step in discovering the status of your Foundational Health.

Step 1: Before we meet in the initial consult I will assess your current dietary intake, extensively review your Health History, and ask you to complete an online Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ). The NAQ examines all the early warning signs and symptoms you may be experiencing which we can then trace back to underlying Foundational organ system dysfunction.

Step 2: In our meeting we will discuss the findings of the above investigations, and outline initial recommendations you can use to start addressing your health concerns. This initial consult includes a 1 to 1.5 hr and you will be provided with documented findings and initial recommendations as follows:

  • Initial health history questionnaire
  • Food diary evaluation
  • Initial educational support around strategic change based on the health history and NAQ intake.
  • Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ)
  • Questions and answer session related to health issues
  • Discussion about next steps – further evaluation of bio individual nutrient needs to restore normal function to the body. This could involve a Functional Evaluation or Muscle Testing Processes to evaluate in greater depth any dysfunction in the body and how food, supplements and lifestyle changes can support optimal health for you.

NOTE: The initial consult is required to be paid for prior to step 1 commencing. On booking your initial appointment an invoice will be emailed for payment.

I have had the pleasure working with Andre during the last 3 months. I was really stuck in a rut and got caught on the conventional wisdom treadmill. I desperately wanted to increase my energy and lose some unwanted kilos. So I did what I thought was “right”. I ran harder, rode further pushing myself to fatigue and then ate more and pressed repeat! Sadly I was feeling more tired than ever and my weight didn’t reduce on the scales. In fact it went up…WHAT!!!

Then Andre appeared and changed my entire mindset (& my life) with his approach to health and fitness. He showed me how I could lose weight without putting myself through a painful exercise routine. In fact I lost a little over 8 kilos without any formal exercise routine and it was effortless.

I stopped feeling hungry 24/7 and Andre with his world class knowledge educated me that weight loss is not about how hard you push while exercising rather it is more about the right food choices and managing stress levels.

The catalyst for my decision to work with Andre was my (rapidly) declining performance on the hockey field. I am certainly no superstar but I was nowfinding myself extremely frustrated with my inability to play like I knew I could. I set a measurable goal of making the Australian over 50 team to compete in the Masters World Cup in 2020. This is a team I had made the reserve list for previously but had not been selected at all in 2018.

I started working with Andre after many years of trying to reduce weight myself. I had used the advice from various books and programs but had not achieved or maintained the results I wanted. I decided to get a coach to help – probably should have been an obvious decision considering a hockey coach myself and regularly endorse the benefit of coaching to improve performance.

Andre was clear and concise with his advice and always extremely positive.We over-achieved my weight loss goals and was able to start some physical training to complement my preparation for the Australian Masters Hockey Championships. I started at 86.4kg in July and travelled to Perth inlate September at 76kg. Suffice to say, my performance was enough to gain selection back into the squad. While there is still work to be done to make the team I am on track and armed with the knowledge to achieve it.

The only disappointing aspect of the experience was the simplicity of the advice and my frustration with how long I had procrastinated before speaking with Andre. The
unexpected up-side was my wife’s involvement and subsequent loss of weight too – and she was less disciplined than me!We are both off to do more clothes shopping so make sure you budget for that.

Andre said that within 3 months, my weight would drop from 77kgs to 68kgs. I would get to my 2018 goal of an 83cm waist measurement. This was on 1st February and would happen by 11th April. Now here we are on March 17th. My weight is down to a mind-blowing 67.6kgs and my waist a mere 79cms. All in around 6 weeks.

Mate, no matter what you charge, the investment is so great. The only negative is that I am slowly buying a whole new wardrobe. The old clothes are being given away as I will never need them again. Thanks so much
