I spent 3 months working with Andre, and I've lost almost 30kg. My background is a combination of elite army units and elite sport, but after injury my weight blew out to more than 140kg. As a result I gained further health impacts, not the least being those on my heart. On my own I had managed to get myself back to around 125kg. I had been seeing a dietician for about 6 months, and managed to shed a little more weight but nothing to get excited about. I had another health scare, so I was now desperate to shift the weight.


I knew about Andre's work, as I'd had a passing interest over the years. I've known him since our army days in the 1980s. I thought, I've tried all the 'normal' ideas, none of them worked- why not try something drastic.


The first thing Andre told me was to chuck all the books out- the western diet books that is….and that's the hardest part of this exercise. Adjusting the mind to accept that what has been taught as "healthy' food and diet, simply put….isn't.


Once I'd made the mental leap, the rest was easy. Hold myself accountable for what enters my mouth, hold myself accountable for what I input into the systems he provided, and to be ruthlessly true to the program. There is an element of mental discipline, but I found that once I got into the groove- it becomes second nature.


There isn't any real secret to Andre's methods or what he teaches. It's plainly obvious once you begin.
But- here's the kicker. You have to do what he says. Don't wander off thinking he's crazy. Step up, buy in, and you'll win.

I worked with Andre under one of his 12 week programs in late 2022, with a goal of dropping 10 kilos, improving general health and exercising more. The information, motivation and accountability that Andre provided was exactly what I needed to move toward this goal.

I found Andre on LinkedIn. I was drawn to his style of being very upfront.
I was always an active person, I played numerous sports growing up. Further, my work and home life balance was out of whack. No matter how hard I tried to reign this in I couldn't make any real progress. Of course Covid-19 compounded to me ballooning to close to 250 lbs.

I couldn’t seem to make any positive gains in strengths or losses in weight. Enter Andre.

I elected to go with the 12 week program. I was so ready to get started! We of course focused first on diet. I found this to be extremely compelling – the high quality fat mixed with low carb
intake approach. I logged all my meals and quickly learned how to improve my eating. Though I work
from home, I made at least 6 trips out of town during the 12 weeks, some of which lasted a whole week.

Andre was very focused on these trips and gave me the confidence to navigate the stresses of air travel
while maintaining the diet.

I also dramatically reduced my alcohol intake. Dramatically. Eating quality food really revealed how
generally crappy alcohol makes me feel. Andre was giving me tools via diet to curb cravings. A real win-
win.

From a physical fitness standpoint, I started walking, a lot. I really do relish this time to stretch my legs
and spend some quality time with our family dog. Towards the end of the program I began doing a bit of
strength training with the primal movements: squats, push ups and planks.

After getting my diet under control and daily walking, we started to focus on sleep. This is when I started
to learn more about breathing through my nose and the related benefits. I was asthmatic as a child and felt that I could have saved my folks a lot of time and energy as a kid if I had only learned some appropriate breathing techniques that Andre turned me on to.. Around this time I started to use mouth tape to keep my mouth gently closed throughout the night.

This dramatically improved my sleep and subsequent stress levels.

I would like to say again thank you for your support these past 3 months. As you know I was very sceptical about using a coach to lose weight. I thought that the human body works just like any other thermodynamic system. I mean - it's physics right? An axiom you simply can't argue about. Just get into a calorie deficit and your body will be forced to burn fat. Wrong - that approach simply doesn't work. Not for me anyway...
