I was turning 40 and I wanted to do something big to celebrate! So I asked Andre to whip me into shape for a half ironman distance triathlon in New Zealand on my actual birthday. Wow what a way to celebrate! (2km swim, 90km bike, 21km run).
Andre helped get me to the finish line in only 6 months! We worked through the Today’s Plan training platform and also communicated via text and phone calls. He tailored the program to suit my other priorities at home and at work. The program was comprehensive and varied and I started training in ways I hadn’t previously – I took up strength work at the gym, running on the treadmill, lots of bike trainer, swimming drills, using my heart rate to measure fitness and then alot of brick work leading up to the event.
The variety kept me interested and committed whilst increasing my fitness and Andre kept me motivated with regular contact and encouragement. He’s such a pleasure to work with and works hard to help achieve my goals.
